Tamar runs along the southeast coast of the Known World. Separated from the wide Plains of Man by the Great Eastern Mountains, Tamar holds radically different customs and social norms from their Western cousins. Their typical garbs of full-body coverings for both men and women are considered mysterious and untrustworthy, while the Tamarians claim that they are a sign of respect and humility; all people are meant to be judged by their actions, not their appearance. Of course these garbs often have touches to help individualize the wearer, and public figures such as royalty and military often will show their face as to stand out in the crowd. Tamarian markets are among the most bustling and exciting, as they often do trade with the mobile dwarves of Khor-Brand as well as have easy access via their naval accessibility to wide ranges of land throughout the Known World, including the otherwise elusive elven isles. Before the Orc Treaties, the Tamarians and the Eidemarians were heated rivals and regularly engaged in sea battle; even in these times of human peace, relations are strained between the two rival kingdoms, each accusing the other of treaty-breaching espionage.
